Aguirre I- Popol Vuh- Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes (Aguirre: The Wrath of God)
Herzog's film about doomed conquistadors in South America, starring the amazing Klaus Kinski. Popol Vuh, a German Krautrock band who went on to compose several more of Herzog's films.

The Weight- The Band- Easy Rider
Again, if you've never seen this, you've cheated yourself out of a precious slice of cinema representing a certain time and culture. Written by Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Terry Southern! Directed by Hopper! Starring two of the aforementioned stars plus Jack Nicholson!

Padre E Figlia- Ennio Morricone- Novecento (1900)
Bertolucci. De Niro. Depardieu. One of the bazillion scores Morricone has written. I'm trying to get Morricone in each of my mixes. I'll try my best.

Out of this World

I have successfully completed my first year teaching. Today. I survived, with only minor wounds given a few times. You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to a ten week vaca, not only from the routine, stress, kids, and annoying coworker, but just from the constant rigmarole of a job. I have a lot to say about all the stuff I have "learned" this year and how much I have "grown", but right now, I just wanna lay in my bed, pants-less, have a beverage and watch some Arrested Development episodes.
This weekend will be the last two days of shooting hot/cold, so I can then focus on my creative projects which usually get pushed aside. And travel. And sleep.
