rewards

Today, hands down, would fall in one of the top worst five days of my teaching career. But one thing that made it better, was a picture that one of my students(who's made great strides and come a LONG way behaviorally), drew for me at the end of the day. It's a Monster Truck, with my name on it... jumping over an obstacle, with heart bubbles floating up and covering its wheels, with a heart as the exhaust pipe.
I'm pretty sure its the best gift I've ever gotten. It says so many things. I'm going to go cry now. It's okay, you can cry too.

September 12th

My employer did not give me my all of my hard earned money so my nice new computer does not exist as of yet.
I've been working for four weeks now and it feels like four months.
Thee Oh Sees.
I've been self diagnosing and treating myself with a combination of vitamins, minerals and supplements, and learned that 5000 mcg of Niacin is not a good idea.
My second grader was singing Pat Benatar yesterday, after he called me a "filthy bitch".
Can I wear my fall jacket yet??
Marfa '10.
My other second grader called me a "motherfucker" and "fuckass". I have never heard the explitives "FUCK" and "ASS" combined and give his environmental guardians (who ever that is for the week) credit for being so innovative. wowzee

good news and bad news

My motherboard is fried. Replacing it and having someone put it in will cost as much as what my computer originally cost. So, I will finally be forcing myself into the mac world(and deeper in debt-yay!). Thankfully, I can retrieve everything including my almost 140 GB of extremely rare and obscure music(my soul). So long pc's!
